The PRFF is an international film competition with awards, dedicated to short films exploring the theme of robots and robotics. The competition is open to works in three main categories: fiction, documentary, and animation, and also includes a special Junior/School category reserved for young filmmakers and primary and secondary school students.
For the 2026 edition, there are several important new features:
- Registration is free of charge for all participants.
- The Junior/School category is now also open to young filmmakers aged 25 or under.
- Article 12 regulates the use of Artificial Intelligence in submitted works.
- The Festival has established a media partnership with RAI Cinema Channel.
For the time being, films can be submitted through the FilmFreeway platform. Over the next few days, we will update the Festival website and upload the documents required to complete the registration process: the Registration Form and the Release Form.
